CHRIS GRIER

Chris enjoys training lower body, such as large muscle groups which take a lot of effort. Legs are always a big challenge but there is no better feeling than smashing a good leg session. 

Chris studied at James Watt College for 3 years to receive his HNC, qualified in kettlebells, level 2 gym instructor and level 3 PT. 

Chris played rugby up till the age of 21 had to retire due to injury. Chris was always working on his strength for rugby so he started weight training at 19 years old. He then went on to compete for 3 years at the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation. He also came 2nd in the heavyweight class in 2005.

LUCY THOMSON

A barbell is my best friend, I love training for athletics purposes over aesthetics. It’s amazing to see how far you can push your body when you are mentally strong. Weightlifting gives me a new level of strength not just for my body. Exercise is my me time, I don’t do it for anyone else or to look like someone other than my self. Short, fast workouts are my fav and I love any workout with some kind of barbell movement in them. 

HNC/ HND in Health, Fitness and Exercise. BSc in Sport and Exercise Science, level 2 Gym Instructor and level 3 PT. Qualified spin instructor, swimming instructor. 

I’m the baby of the team. I have worked in a number of gyms since I was 17. Before I got into the gym life I was massively into competitive cheerleading I did this for 7 years and prior to that, I did loads of other kinds of dance from the age of 4, tap, jazz, hip-hop and line dancing I did it all. Being active is second nature to me, I am lucky to have the body I do so I want to look after it the best I can. I have my own business, Coach Lucy which gives me the platform to share my education with other people. To help them create a healthy sustainable lifestyle, fitness is for life and I want to show you that looking after your self through regular exercise is just as important as brushing your teeth. The people I work with are not looking for a quick fix they want to take something away from what I provide so they can continue to use it. Creating healthy habits which they can use for a lifetime, it's taken me a while to have a good relationship with food and training to use them both to look after myself and I want to share the importance of that with other people.

Lisa Wilson

I’m the boss woman. My husband and I have owned The Fitness Factory for almost 25 years and I have been running it for the last 19 years. I gave up my retail job back in 1999 to develop our small growing business, being able to work the hours that suited me whilst also raising 3 small children. This started my fitness journey and the opportunity for me to become more educated in fitness.

Weight lifting has always been my thing. I train 5 days a week with my coach and good friend David Jackson, a very knowledgeable individual when it comes to bodybuilding who pushes me to my limits with every training session.
(He’ll tell you that it’s me who pushes him beyond his limits most of the time!)
My awareness and understanding of the changes in the female body have allowed my education to adapt even further. Now that my days of running around to the beck and call of the kids are over, training is my priority.

Level 2 gym instructor, Level 3 PT, Bodypump certified, Metafit certified, freestyle spin, TRX training.

I now teach Les Mills Bodypump which allows for me to crossover over between bodybuilding and group training. I am heavily involved in the ladies lifting group as a coach to use my education about weight training for those just starting or those much more advanced individuals. I have also taught spin for just short of 3 years, I love teaching spin it was my first group training class, a get such a buzz off the loud music and working at such a high intensity with a team of great individuals who are working towards the same goal. There is never a dry
body when my spin is over, the room is soaking in sweat. I am forever learning, looking for ways to improve my education further. My life is fitness and I love every part of it.
